Our breeding philosophy is to produce modern, performance oriented Simmental cattle that will work in commercial programs.  We select for balanced traits with an emphasis on calving ease, carcass and maternal traits while maintaining adequate growth.  We use artificial insemination almost exclusively with some embryo transfer using breed-leading bulls that reflect our objectives.  Our cowherd is made up primarily of solid patterned (black and red) polled purebreds with Fleckvieh influence.

Calm, Texas, (pictured above) is a very well balanced daughter of Ellingtons Black Perfector and Bonina Promonade 7046G.    Also, selling her great dam with a Joker heifer calf at side (lot 27) to Nick Sloup, Nebraska, a deep, attractive Red Light daughter of donor quality bred to SRS Franchise for an October calf (lot 26) and a solid black Mr. MT daughter out of our Big Sky donor with service to SS Goldmine (lot 29) both going to repeat customer, Dannie Howell, Mt. Calm, Texas, a Lucky Break cow bred to Mr. MT for a September calf that should show or work in the pasture (lot 30) going to Gene Adams, Bay Town, Texas, another repeat customers.
